eResearch SA Short Film Scholarships

eResearch SA is offering 3 summer scholarship positions to eligible South Australian film students.

Scholarships are available for a period of up to 8 weeks during the summer vacation (November–February) and come with a tax-free stipend of $300 per week.  Students will be asked to create a catalogue of short 10 minute films for eResearch SA.

Students will be required to write, film and edit the films for use on a spectrum of digital technologies.

Students will be supervised by a University academic with assistance from eResearch SA staff. Students will be matched to an appropriate project, and may indicate particular areas of interest or experience in their application.

Students must be enrolled at one of the three South Australian universities, and perferably in the latter years of their degree.

eResearch SA is a collaborative joint venture between the University of Adelaide, University of South Australia, and Flinders University. Our mission is to enable discovery, innovation and collaboration by providing eResearch facilities, services, training and expertise.

Applications close 1 October 2011.

Students will be required to submitt at least three 10 minute short films and produce a short written report at the end of the scholarship period.

Submissions must include:

• a completed application form
• your academic transcript (unofficial print-outs are accepted)
• a CV, detailing any relevant information such as background and expertise in particular discipline areas, IT skills and experience, or research experience
• a creative portfolio of their work
