Super Science - Australian Research Collaboration Services' Feedback Questionnaire

Under the Commonwealth Government's Super Science funding program, $97 million (over 4 years) has been provided to ARCS (Australian Research Collaboration Service), headquartered at eResearch SA, for Data Storage and Collaboration Infrastructure.

There is an opportunity to provide Professor Tony Williams with open feedback before 18 December on the types of core infrastructure and services that should underpin the national collaboration and data fabric ($35 million). Refer http://www.arcs.org.au/rfoc for further background.

This links you to a questionnaire (Request for Open Comment Form) http://www.arcs.org.au/rfoc/comment-form which includes a range of indicative core services, developed by the Technical Working Group. The applicability of each service to your field of research is now requested, along with the opportunity to identify other services which you (and your collaborating partners) might require.

This will inform the final allocation of the $35million to developing these services from 2010. You are therefore encouraged to comment by 18 December.
