eResearch SA is an unincorporated joint venture of the three South Australian universities:

• The University of Adelaide
• Flinders University
• University of South Australia. 

eResearch SA is the South Australian member of the Australian Research Collaboration Service (ARCS), which provides national advanced computing, collaboration, and data fabric infrastructure and services. ARCS is funded in part by the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research (DIISR). In particular, ARCS is funded to deliver the Interoperability & Collaboration Infrastructure component of the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) Platforms for Collaboration (PfC) capability.

eResearch SA is also the South Australian partner of the Australian National Data Service (ANDS), which aims to:

• influence national policy in the area of data management in the Australian research community
• inform best practice for the curation of data
• transform the disparate collections of research data around Australia into a cohesive collection of research resources.
