Visualisation & haptics services

eResearch SA has advanced visualisation and haptics facilities that researchers can use to enrich their understanding of a diverse range of topics from molecular chemistry, to art history and geology.
Using our stereographic imaging and visualisation facilities, researchers can better understand the structure of objects, find patterns in complex data sets, and visualise abstract concepts.
Our haptics facilities enable tactile interaction with visualised data and objects and can be used for purposes as diverse as surgical training and the tactile manipulation of theoretical data.
We offer:
- stereoscopic imaging services and support
- visualisation facilities, such as the VisLab and the South Australian Virtual Reality Centre
- use of the eRSA VisLab and the SAVRC as photographic and video fliming locations, allowing great control over lighting (user-supplied) and the provision of rear-projected imagery on the projection screen or screens
- haptics facilities.
